Which ring size system does Malaysia use?
Most Malaysian jewellers size rings using Hong Kong (HK) numbering, which is common across Southeast Asia. International brands and online shops selling in Malaysia often use US or EU sizes instead, so it is worth checking which system a shop uses before you order.
HK sizes are close to the inner circumference in millimetres minus 40, but charts from different shops can disagree by about one size. The most reliable thing to give a Malaysian jeweller is your inner circumference or diameter in millimetres.

Measuring in Malaysia's climate
Heat and humidity make fingers swell, and air-conditioned rooms make them shrink. Measure at a normal room temperature, ideally in the late afternoon, and avoid measuring right after exercise or a hot shower. If your measurements differ, use the larger one.
Buying gold rings in Malaysia
